Alexandra & David

Beautiful old world charm nestled in the hillside of Castro Valley, Westover Vineyard was a perfect place for Alexandra and David’s Spanish style wedding. The couple invited their families and close friends for an intimate wedding nuptial under lush greeneries, while Mariachi band serenaded the guests. The ceremony was filled with colorful hues of azalea, burgundy, plum and a touch of chartruse. The aisles were decorated with mini arrangements of plum hydrangeas and Bugatti rosas placed inside hanging mason jars and hung on black shephard’s hooks. The bride wore a lovely diamond white gown accented with a beautiful Mantilla veil while her bridesmaids were brilliant in fuschia. It was a very intimate and fun wedding soiree filled with music and laughter. Congratulations to Alexandra and David!

What can I say, I love my job. What’s more fun than designing beautiful events and watch the lovely couple tie the knot. Miriam loves to smile. From the first time I met her, all I could remember is her lovely smile. Did I mention she’s also very easy going and down to earth? I love working with brides who are willing to take risks and willing to try out new things. Congratulations Miriam & Matthew!!!

Call me a dork but I just LOVE LOVE LOVE winery weddings. Lisa and Eller met me for an initial consultation early on in their wedding planning process. When they said they were going to get married at Wente Winery in Livermore, I was beyond excited. I LOVE Wente and their porkchops and of course their Cabernet Sauvignon. The venue was a perfect setting for a small intimate wedding ceremony. It was such a sunny morning filled with excitement, love and full of candy apple red and mandarin orange.

The Venue

The Ceremony

Lisa and Eller went with an urban chic wedding theme. The ceremony aisles were lined with red and orange carnation pomanders. The backdrop composed of hanging pomanders, stringing orchids and floating callas in glass tubes. After the couple exchanged wedding vows, guests were given bubbles to blow across the aisle as the couple headed out to their reception party.

Summer Casual Photoshoot

Posted in: Photoshoot- Jun 29, 2011 No Comments

After several months of spring rain, cloudy weather and cold temperature, summer is finally here. We can finally trade in our boots for sandles and heels. This year we are doing a fun, flirty and casual summer photoshoot. To me, summer is all about colors. We have chosen luscious plum hues, bright fushia and minty green as the color theme for our casual summer photoshoot.

We were so lucky to capture a beautiful day filled with blue skies, cool breeze and bright sunshine. We used a variety of summer flowers such as fuschia peonies, jade rosas, lovely lydia garden roses, lime green cymbidium orchids, and cool water rosas. The concept for this shoot was casual and fun: short and flowy white dress paired with burgundy ballet flats, embellished with Tahitian pearls.

Here are some photos from the shoot, hope you guys will enjoy it.

Emma, one of my favorite photographer friend, asked me to make a wedding bouquet for one of her bride as a gift. The color scheme was velvet red and nova white to highlight their cambodian and korean heritage. The bouquet was made from classy red rosa, white tulips and white freesias, finished with an antique beaded white lace. It was truly a colorful event filled with traditions. Thanks Alfred & Emma for the fabulous photos.

I fell in love with Breakfast at Tiffany ever since I saw the movie. Who doesn’t love Audrey Hepburn in her classic little black dress and the infamous rendition of Moon River. The old hollywood glam, the bling bling, and the old so beautiful tiffany blue is absolutely classic. When Tiffany came to me with her request for a Breakfast at Tiffany wedding theme, I was ecstatic. How could I say no to the most classic wedding theme of all time. Here is a sneak peak at her wedding details.
